Update December 2021

Coronavirus (covid-19)update December 2021

We still need to act cautiously to stop the spread of the virus. The Omicron variant is more transmissible, and people despite our best efforts visiting the practice still may be contagious without knowing it. Many people are still not fully vaccinated and haven't received their booster, so cutting the virus transmission is still important. Health premises are a higher risk environment and we need to maintain some control measures to keep everyone safe.

Reception is open and you may call in to book an appointment. We kindly ask that you do this alone as space is very limited and we still request that patients follow social distancing. We limit the area to 3 people if reception is at capacity we may ask that you wait outside and we will call you in when it is safe to do so.

Appointments

We have opened the waiting area but space is limited. This is to allow the next appointment to wait inside the reception area safely. If you arrive more than 5 minutes before your allocated appointment time you might be asked to wait outside the practice until space becomes available inside.

We are asking everyone visiting the practice to:

  • Wear a face mask, unless you are exempt
  • Maintain social distancing
  • Use the hand gel provided in practice
  • Attend alone to your appointment where possible

Thank you for your understanding

Update 22/5/2021

Coronavirus (covid-19)update

Please be aware we are still trying to work through a backlog of cancelled appointments. We are still trying to prioritise vulnerable patients or those with urgent dental needs; it is therefore likely that you will have to wait longer than normal to be booked in for a routine dental care appointment. Due to cross infection control restrictions and social distancing we are limited to the amount of routine care appointments we can offer. These extra measures greatly reduce available working surgery time and limit the daily number of appointments that we can provide. We are currently only allowing one patient into the practice at a time.

***PLEASE DO NOT TURN UP AT THE PRACTICE WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT***

Before we book any potential appointments patients will be triaged and assessed. We will then send links to your email address or mobile for medical and COVID screening. These forms must be completed prior to the appointment.

Thank you for your understanding.

Routine Appointments

Coronavirus (covid-19)routine appointments

Routine appointments - We are now able to commence routine appointments such as examinations. We still have restrictions in place and hygienist services have not resumed yet. We are limited to the number of appointments we can see on a daily basis due to cross infection control procedures. We are trying to work through contact lists as quickly as possible.

***PLEASE DO NOT TURN UP AT THE PRACTICE WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT***

Emergency appointments -Please be aware that the treatment we can offer at emergency appointments maybe limited due to restrictions and increased cross infection control procedures. These extra measures greatly reduce available working surgery time and limit the daily number of appointments that we can offer. We are currently only allowing one patient into the practice at a time.

Patients who require treatment that isn't classed as a dental emergency, such as a lost filling but no pain, broken teeth, recement crowns... will be added to a waiting list and we will offer appointments as soon as we are able to do so. We are trying hard to work through the list.  Please speak to reception if you have any concerns, need advice or if your condition worsens.

Routine appointments - We are hoping that we will be able to commence routine appointments such as examinations in the New year. This is dependant on the Coronavirus alert level, lifting of current restrictions and guidance from NHS England.
Our priority is to offer emergency appointments and work through the waiting list as quickly and safely as possible. If you have any concerns about your oral health please speak to reception. A trained member of staff will be able to deal with any concerns.
